Since we started to develop new im proxy server we are looking for skilled Perl programmers, preferably with some experience with Danga::Socket.

Since two weeks Slavey Karadzhov started to develop new IM Proxy Server based on Danga::Socket. We are just at the beginning of creating the new server(using a lot of Perlbal code), but the results look quite promising. At that early stage the server can handle a lot of simultaneous connections and has SSL support. Hopefully the final version of the new server will be more scalable than the old one.

Thanks to Jovane Marques, Laffer Web client interface is now translated into Portuguese (Brazilian). You can try it online from the LiveDemo page. With this translation you can use Laffer Web Client in 5 languages: English, German, Portuguese(Brazilian), Russian and Bulgarian. Since lately the users of Laffer cannot receive their messages. That is because ICQ again made some changes on their servers.
